What Is Included in a Multi-Point Inspection?

When you bring your VW for a multi-point inspection, our technicians will inspect:

• Carpets and Floor Mats - Improperly placed or damaged carpets and mats may cause problems.
• Windshield - Any small chips or cracks can grow, so our technicians will carefully look to see if your windshield has any of these.
• Wiper Blades - Our technicians will check to make sure that the wiper blades are in good condition.
• Battery Terminals and Cables - Corrosion can build up on these components, or the connection may become loose.
• Engine Drive Belt - Our technicians will check this belt for any signs of cracking or excessive wear.
• Engine Hoses - Cracking may be a sign of a leak.
• Shocks and Struts - Ensuring your suspension is in good condition contributes to a smooth and safe ride.
• Tires - Your tires must have at least 2/32" of tread depth, and uneven wear can be a sign of further trouble.
• All Exterior Lights - This includes headlights, tail lights, hazard lights, and more.
• Engine Air Filter - A clogged engine air filter can keep your engine from getting the air it needs.
• Pollen Filter - Also known as the cabin air filter, this keeps contaminants from entering your vehicle's cabin, but it can become clogged.
• Fluid Levels - They can top off fluids that are slightly low, but too much fluid loss is the sign of a troubling leak.
• Exhaust System - Our technicians will check for any signs of exhaust leaks, loose mufflers, or other problems.
• Front and Rear Brakes - This includes the brake pads, rotors, and calipers.
• CV Boots and Joints - Our technicians will make sure that these are not leaking oil.
